Overview

Looking for Evening Staff that can work from 5pm-8pm

 

This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and interacts with children at play
  • Develops positive relationships with children and parents
  • Organizes age-appropriate activities
  • Encourages member involvement and identifies potential volunteers
  • Maintains a clean and sanitized environment. Returns supplies to proper places after use
  • Assures parents are signing in children properly and presenting identification
  • Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary
  • Attends staff meetings and trainings as required
  • Obtains a substitute attendant when needed
  • Incorporates the mission, philosophy, and 4 core values of the YMCA in all communication with participants and co-workers
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Demonstrated ability to provide childcare
  • 6 months or more work experience preferred
  • Ability to relate to, supervise, and provide age-appropriate activities to children, ages 6 months to 10 years
  • Possesses mature judgment and sound decision-making
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members, peers, and supervisor
  • Ability to effectively communicate information on YMCA membership and programs
  • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations

Posted Salary Range

USD $14.81 - USD $15.00 /Hr.
